Delete your account

Account deletion is done directly inside the app — it's quick, immediate, and permanent. Follow the steps below.

This cannot be undone. All your check history, profile data, community posts, and subscription access will be permanently removed within 30 days of your request. After 30 days, nothing can be recovered.

Steps to delete

Open the NewsBuster.AI app

Launch the app on your phone and log in with your registered number.

Go to your Profile

Tap the "You" icon at the bottom right of the screen to open your profile.

Scroll down to the bottom

Scroll past your settings and preferences to reach the danger zone at the very bottom.

Tap "Delete Account"

A confirmation screen will appear listing exactly what will be removed.

Type DELETE and confirm

Type the word DELETE in the field provided and tap "Delete forever." Your account is removed immediately.

What gets deleted

×Your profile — name, phone number, username

×All fact-check history and results

×Community posts, comments and reactions

×Pro/Annual subscription access (no refund after deletion)

×Saved preferences and notification settings

30-day grace period: After requesting deletion, your account is immediately deactivated. Data is held securely for 30 days before permanent removal. Changed your mind? Email contact@thenewsbuster.com within 30 days and we'll restore it.

Can't access the app?

Email us at contact@thenewsbuster.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request" — include your registered phone number. We'll process it within 7 business days.
