Delete your account

Before you continue — deleting your account will permanently erase your check history, profile, community posts, and any active subscription benefits. This action cannot be undone after the 30-day grace period.

What gets deleted

×Your profile — name, phone number, avatar
×All fact-check history and results
×Community feed posts, comments and reactions
×Pro / Annual subscription access (no refund after deletion)
×Saved preferences and language settings
×Push notification tokens

30-day grace period

Once you request deletion, your account is immediately deactivated (you cannot log in). Your data is held securely for 30 days before permanent removal. If you change your mind, email us at contact@thenewsbuster.com within 30 days and we will restore your account.

How to delete via the app

Open NewsBuster.AI

Launch the app on your Android or iOS device.

Go to the "You" tab

Tap the person icon in the bottom navigation bar (far right).

Scroll to the bottom

Scroll past Preferences and the sign-out button to find "Delete account".

Tap "Delete account"

A confirmation dialog will appear showing exactly what will be erased.

Type DELETE to confirm

Type the word DELETE in the text field to activate the confirm button.

Tap "Delete forever"

Your account will be deactivated immediately. You will be signed out.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, send an email to contact@thenewsbuster.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include your registered phone number. We will process your request within 7 business days.
